Hi everyone! Two quick announcements.
Meetups in San Francisco and Washington DC
The first Understanding AI article was published on March 30, 2023. To celebrate the first birthday of the newsletter, I’m organizing two in-person events for readers:
San Francisco: On Monday, March 25, at 7pm, I’ll be at Zeitgeist in the Mission. The address is 199 Valencia. This event will be co-hosted by Charlie Guo of the excellent newsletter Artificial Ignorance. We would appreciate an RSVP so we have a way of notifying folks of any last-minute changes.
Washington DC: On Tuesday, April 2 at 5:30pm, I’ll be at the Thirsty Crow in Columbia Heights. The address is 3400 11th St. NW. I would appreciate an RSVP so I have a way of notifying folks of any last-minute changes.
Large language models en español
The all-time most popular Understanding AI article was the explainer on large language models that I co-authored with Sean Trott and published last July. I’m happy to announced that it has been translated to Spanish. Please share it with any native Spanish speakers you know who are interested in LLMs. And thanks to Rubén Alvarez Escobar and Sylvia Elena Rodríguez who have been working on this translation for months.
Fun hang, thanks Tim. Would be up for more ways to interact with fellow readers. Maybe a discord? Just a thought
Sorry, won't be able to make it. Living in Utah, long drive or expensive flight. Do enjoy your articles, though. :-)
